A simple and fun process
Your casting experience will be fun and memorable!
Safe & non-allergenic
The material used is non-toxic, non-allergenic and skin-safe. It is a water-based alginate material made of seaweed extract. Alginate is the material dentists use to make molds of teeth. It sets quickly, is easy to remove and captures fine detail.
Quick timing
The actual casting time is quick! (a baby hand or foot takes only about 1 minute each). However, the preparation prior to making the mold and choosing the finishing and display options after, takes additional time.
Newborns encouraged
Babies can be casted as young as one week old. Plus, babies grow so quickly! So, the earlier they’re casted after birth, you’re able to capture their perfect tiny hands and feet just as they arrived in this world. Plus, newborns typically sleep often - making the casting an easier process.

What parents are saying
As a visual artist, I love to find creative and beautiful ways of remembering my sons’ childhood. Deanna’s work fit the bill perfectly. She gave my wife and I such a sweet and beautiful keepsake and we will treasure it always.
Our sons are very young so we weren’t sure how they would do, but the process was so fast and easy. And, working with Deanna was such a joy. It was such a great experience.
Seeing our young sons’ hands and feet preserved is such a sweet thing, and we will love having them on our wall for years to come.

I’ve been told to soak up every moment with our newborn because “babies expire.”
I didn’t realize how true that phrase is. I’ve seen our little guy grow and change so much in the last couple of months!
It makes me all the more grateful that we have this sweet keepsake to remember just how small and precious our baby boy was at just a few weeks old.
Deanna made the casting experience so fun and educated us on the whole process. We enjoyed our time with her and will forever be thankful for this beautiful memory.

A Mother’s
Experience
Mementos have always been important to our family. Before we met, my husband and I both had the amazing opportunity of getting to travel a lot when we were younger. During those years, we both collected little treasures and keepsakes to remember where we had been and moments that helped shape who we became.
When we got married, we continued the tradition of gathering our mementos, but now we did it as a couple and for our new family. When we decided to have kids, we looked forward to finding creative ways to remember moments in our children’s childhood.
This became all the more important when we were told we couldn’t have children naturally. It was only after years of IVF that we finally welcomed our first born. We were overjoyed to say the least. But, it was an all new feeling of joy when we were able to give our son a brother naturally and without IVF or other procedures. The gift of being able to grow our family is something we never take for granted and the desire to create memories and keep little mementos became even more important.
That’s why we were so excited to work with Deanna and get casts made of our boys’ hands and feet. They are growing so fast and sometimes we just wish time could stop.
Deanna stopped time for us and gave us a way to forever have a memento of when our boys were little. It’s a sweet gift and we will treasure it.
